Brian Cummings (b. 1948) is a voice actor and announcer who was heard in several animated Sesame Street segments by ArtistMike. A busy announcer for promos, trailers, and commercials, he could be heard on the Jim Henson Home Video promos of the 1990s, including for Fraggle Rock and The Muppet Christmas Carol, as well as the later Jim Henson Home Entertainment releases. During his time as a promo announcer for CBS, Cummings voiced Kermit the Frog for a 1995 ad for Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree.
Cummings established himself in the 1980s in TV cartoons, game shows (announcing Let's Make a Deal in 1984), and doing impressions (Richard Nixon in the 1980 film Where the Buffalo Roam). After voicing minor parts on Spider-Man, Richie Rich, and a Pink Panther special, he landed regular roles on The Snorks (Dimmy), Disney's Wuzzles (Bumblelion), G.I. Joe (Dr. Mindbender), The California Raisins specials and series (Lick Broccoli), DuckTales (Doofus and Bebop Beagle), and Adventures of the Gummi Bears (Sir Tuxford and Arte Deco). Other credits include 2 Stupid Dogs, Animaniacs, Garfield and Friends, Batman: The Animated Series, and Sofia the First. Animated features include Beauty and the Beast (the stove), Ferngully: The Last Rainforest, and Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland. He announced and narrated an assortment of Disney promos, documentaries, and home video features. Video games include the Metal Gear Solid franchise (Dr. Sokolov).
