PERFORMER | Brian Muehl |
DEBUT | 1992 |
Bruno was the surly bulldog superintendent of Eliot Shag's apartment building on Dog City. Aided or hindered by his helper Bowser, Bruno frequently hassled Eliot, but cowtowed to the landlady, Ms. Fluffé. Bruno's behavior and plotlines often paralleled his animated alter-ego, in Eliot's cartoon series, Bugsy Vile.
Notes
- The Bruno puppet was essentially the same as Bugsy Them, the gangster villain in the original Dog City special on The Jim Henson Hour. The puppet did double-duty in the episode "Sick as a Dog," as the dream version of Bugsy Vile, the series equivalent of Bugsy Them.
- Brian Muehl was required to perform Bruno as if he was being performed by Jim Henson.[1]
