DEBUT 1980

Bruno the Security Guard looks after the gold bars that he allows Kermit to borrow in episode 504 of The Muppet Show. They are to be used as the backdrop for Shirley Bassey's "Goldfinger" number, when Scooter could only come up with a rust-colored paint. Bruno is so suspicious of Kermit that he misses Beaker swiping a bar for a Muppet Labs sketch, and overlooks a band of pig thieves who steal the rest of the gold. He ends up arresting Shirley Bassey thinking she stole his gold.

A similar Whatnot, possibly Bruno with a mustache (similarly occupied as a guard), appears in The Newsman sketch of episode 524 performed by Richard Hunt.
