California

California is the 31st state of the United States of America. Its capital is Sacramento and its largest city is Los Angeles.

• The Muppets travel to Hollywood, CA in The Muppet Movie. The Muppets Go Hollywood was filmed in Hollywood.

• The Hollywood Walk of Fame features stars honoring Jim Henson, Big Bird, Kermit the Frog, and The Muppets.

• At the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Kermit and Miss Piggy hosted the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade for the 2004 television special "Christmas at Walt Disney World".

• Disney California Adventure, at the Disneyland Resort, was home to Muppet*Vision 3D from 2001 to 2014.

• MuppetFest, the Muppet fan convention, was held in Santa Monica in 2001.

• The state is home to SeaWorld California, owned by Busch Entertainment Corp., which has featured Sesame Street characters in the park since 2008.

• When Grover pretends to drive Gordon's car in Sesame Street Episode 1056, he visits downtown Cucamonga, CA.

• In a 2008 interview with Chuck the Movie Guy to promote The Muppet Show: Season Three, Fozzie Bear says that he's still doing stand-up, and he has to leave to go to a gig in Death Valley. "Oh, wonderful," Kermit says. "Nice audience."

• At the 2009 D23 Expo held in Anaheim, Kermit, Fozzie, Pepe, Gonzo, Miss Piggy, Animal, Janice, Floyd, Dr. Teeth, Zoot, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Beaker, Scooter, Rizzo, Lew Zealand, Robin, Penguins, Chickens, Sweetums, Statler and Waldorf appeared at the "Disney Movie Magic: Inside the Disney Studios" arena presentation on September 11. Pepe, Sam the Eagle, Gonzo, Fozzie, and The Swedish Chef made an appearance at The Muppets Presentation on September 13.

• On September 29, 2009, Kermit and Miss Piggy were in Los Angeles to help announce the Give a Day. Get a Disney Day. campaign.

• At the 2011 D23 Expo held in Anaheim, Jim Henson was named a Disney Legend and Kermit and Rowlf the Dog made an appearance on August 19. Kermit and Miss Piggy made an appearance at the "Inside the Walt Disney Studios" arena presentation on August 20.

• Much of The Muppets takes place in Hollywood, as that is where the Muppet Studios and The Muppet Theatre are located.

• In the episode of Here is Your Life that honors the life of an oak tree, his former tree friends, Marty Table and Sarah Chair from Sausalito, pay him a visit. 

• One of the groups in Guy Smiley's helping hand show "Where Do I Belong?" consists of a fish, scuba diver, and clam from Pismo Beach.
