Calvin & Hobbes is a syndicated comic strip about the antics of a dangerously imaginative six-year-old-kid named Calvin and his stuffed toy tiger named Hobbes, who appears to Calvin as a live tiger. The strip began running in newspapers on November 18, 1985 and ended on December 31, 1995, when creator Bill Watterson decided to take up painting lessons.
