Camp Echo Rock is a sleepaway camp in a wooded area far away from Sesame Street, where Big Bird spent a week during season 14.
Over the course of the week, Big Bird made friends with Rusty, another camper. Aunt Mae (Marilyn Sokol) is the Camp Director, and Big Bird's counselor was named Mickey (Giancarlo Esposito).
Activities at the camp include baseball, hiking, swimming, and telling stories around the campfire. At the end of the week, Big Bird was awarded the Camp Echo Rock Swimming Award.
Sesame Street Magazine printed a three-page spread on Big Bird's trip to camp in issue 125 (June 1983).
