Cap'n Crunch is a breakfast cereal first introduced by Quaker Oats in 1963.
Developed from a recipe for butter and brown sugar over rice, the cereal has gone on to include Cap'n Crunch's Crunch Berries, Peanut Butter Crunch and Christmas Crunch, among others.
The character of Captain Horatio Magellan Crunch (his full name) was developed and designed by Jay Ward's animation studio, with Daws Butler providing his original voice.
