The Captain's Log appears in the Pigs in Space: Deep Dish Nine sketch in episode 102 of Muppets Tonight.
Captain Pighead starts out the sketch reciting his captain's log, presumably dictating it to an unseen recording device. It is then revealed he's speaking to an actual log, who confirms he's understood the latest entry.
