"Captain Vegetable" is a Sesame Street song performed by Captain Vegetable with Eddie and Andy. Captain Vegetable, who describes himself as "your newest favorite superhero," sings about the virtues of eating crunchy vegetables, such as carrots and celery.
A remake of the song features John Leguizamo dressed as said character, and teaching Elmo the same lesson, as well as a candy addict named Sandy. (First: Episode 4013)
The song underscores the eponymous hero's cameo in Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration.
