Casa de Mi Padre is a Spanish-language comedy starring Will Ferrell, spoofing Mexican cinema and the melodrama of telenovelas. Rancher Armando Alvarez (Ferrell) finds trouble on the eve of his brother's wedding, and following the death of his father. Clashes with a vicious drug lord, and the interference of shady DEA agents, follow.
Jim Henson's Creature Shop built an animatronic white jaguar (the Onza), first encountered at campfire, then in an extended sequence where he talks to Armando. The animatronic is used for one final shot at the end, as the closing credits roll.
