Casey is a rabbit who appeared on Sesame Street in the 1980s.
He gets his name from "The Turtle Who Wanted to Make Friends" (First: Episode 1959), a story about a turtle named Sheldon who was so shy that he would retract his head inside his shell whenever anyone approached. One day, Casey leads a troupe of forest animals on their yearly picnic. When he attempts to stand on the turtle's shell, thinking it's a rock, Sheldon finally comes out of his shell and introduces himself.
Casey also appears in the "On Vacation with Guy Smiley" sketch, in which he's identified as a rabbit spotted in the wild by Guy Smiley, and as an ancillary character in "I Get There."
