Format[]

Many of these articles have always kind of bugged me, as they all kind of have an odd format when compared to other articles on the wiki. They don't flow like other articles. They have these clunky lists of information bulleted at the top and then a somewhat disconnected string of related notes and facts. Many don't really orient or explain the context of many statements and facts for someone without a decent knowledge of the figures or the line to really understand what's being talked about all the time. Plus there are a lot of behind the scenes claims that could use some sources (which could be hard since much came from message board discussions which are long gone). I'm planning on going through and doing some clean up on these.

As such I thought an information box template for the basic (and somewhat important) facts would be helpful. I put one together and tried it out on the series 7 figures (Captain Smollett Action Figure, Frog Scout Robin Action Figure, Johnny Fiama Action Figure and Beauregard Action Figure). But before I go and put it on all 80+ pages, I’d like to know how others feel about it, or if there are any tweaks that should be made. Thoughts? -- Brad D. (talk) 00:45, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

The updated pages are an improvement. It may be hard to track down all sources, but the Muppet Action Figures folder at the Muppet Central message board is still a category (as opposed to all of those threads beign merged into the Muppet Merchandise folder). We can check the "Ask Ken at Palisades" thread for information. Perhaps we can also search trhough all posts by Ken Lilly (who had the username "Resident Lilly"), as well as posts by other members who worked at Palisades (I can't remember any additional usernames). Some of the Muppet Central reviews for a few of these series also included interviews with Ken Lilly. I don't think the official Palisades Toys site is working anymore, so it would be hard to source that, but some people have included links to some sites thanks to the Internet Wayback Machine. Maybe we can use that to link to Palisades message board posts and daily bits. Perhaps Toyfair could also be used as a reference as well. --Minor muppetz 03:09, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
I like the template. I've had similar thoughts for these pages for a while, so I'm happy to have some uniformity here. —Scott (talk) 02:08, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
I noticed that a lot of uncited info has been edited from the action figure pages. I thought I'd link the Muppet Central "Ask Ken" thread. It's 445 pages long, but we're bound to find info that can be cited there. --Minor muppetz 23:58, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Unmade Figures[]

Does anybody think it might be a good idea to create a page about unsculpted figures that were officially planned/ announced but never sculpted? Not neccessarily figures that people at Palisades said would be cool to make, but figures that were actually announced to be part of a specific series, or even exclusives that were officially announced and then cancled that were to be released close to a certain series? Or would that be a bad idea? --Minor muppetz 00:47, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

There's already a page for this: Unmade Palisades Toys. Those with sculpt images or other details are linked to, those that aren't are listed. --Andrew, Aleal 00:53, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
