Scott recently added Joe Marley to this category (as Category:Sesame Street Specials Characters is for television specials only). But right now poor Joe is the only one in here. Is this a valid and new category to add to (I ask because it was still "red-linked" and pretty bare)? I know of a ton of direct-to-video characters that never appeared on the actual show and were exclusive to direct-to-video productions. Is it alright to create and fill this category? -- Brad D. - Personally, I'd suggest renaming it "Sesame Street Video Characters," thus including all video characters. Hadn't we deciced that new categories needed to be discussed first on current events, by the way? I know nobody's been following it, and it's been left hanging just like Category talk:Themes, but it felt like there was *sort of* a consensus at the time. Just that nobody's actually doing it. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 05:17, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- I like the name "Sesame Street Video Characters" better too. -- Brad D. (talk) 05:42, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- Personally, I think we should merge it with Sesame Street Specials Characters. I don't see much difference between Joe Marley and the rest of the specials characters.
- But if we're committed to making a separate category, then my vote is for Sesame Street Videos Characters. -- Danny (talk) 14:08, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
- So it sounds like if we are going to keep this category the feeling is to rename it to "Sesame Street Videos Characters". But now the question is "do we keep this?" Do we (a) mix the characters from television and video specials in one "Sesame Street Specials Characters" category, (b) create "Sesame Street Videos Characters" as a place to collect characters that have only appear in direct-to-video specials, or (c) not worry about dual-categorizing video characters in a special category outside of "Sesame Street Characters" and scrap this? -- Brad D.
