Do talk show appearances count[]
Are talk show appearances in relation to the movie relevant to this category? -- Zanimum 23:04, October 25, 2011 (UTC)
- I (personally) would only include articles in this category whose subject matter (or relevance to this wiki) is soley something promoting The Muppets. So, for example, the Alamo Rent a Car ads or 10 in 60 articles are purely about a promotional effort for The Muppets. However if Kermit appears on The Tonight Show next month to talk about the new movie I wouldn't classify the entire The Tonight Show article as "The Muppets (2011) Promotions" (as less than 2% of the Muppet-relevant connections/appearances would actually be promotions for The Muppets...that page could just as equally be classified as "Muppets From Space Promotions"). Maybe we could have an article listing all of the media appearances directly related to the promotion of the movie, but putting every talk show or news cast that promotes the movie into this category (especially when there are other non-2011 promotional appearances for that program) seems unbalanced and will only become confusing. I think this category should be for subjects that are exclusively focused on promotion of The Muppets. -- Brad D. (talk) 02:34, October 26, 2011 (UTC)
- I just started The Muppets promotional appearances to track all the appearances plugging the film. -- Brad D. (talk)
- I like Brad's solution. —Scott (message me) 04:08, November 7, 2011 (UTC)
