Celeste Koon is a Canadian filmmaker, children's television writer, and television art department staff member, best known for her live action children's short films. She produced two segments aired on Sesame Street.
In 2013, she developed the live action multimedia short films "A is for Adventure" (YouTube) and "O is for Ocean" (YouTube) for Sesame Street. Both aired in Season 44. She was writer, director, and production designer for the segment, created alongside Toronto and Sesame Workshop producers. Celeste was chosen through a pitch sessions at TIFF Kids Film Festival, open to talent that had previously participated in TIFF's professional development programmes.
In 2021, she wrote six of the episodes of Watch, Play, Learn, an animated short form series released internationally by Sesame Workshop's Play to Learn Humanitarian Program.
Her short film The Intergalactic Space Adventures of Cleo and Anouk (2012) was screening at that year's TIFF Kids festival. She previously produced Paper Princes, Gypsies, and the Boy With No Return Address (2009), another independent short for children; both screened at international film festivals.
