A centaur is a creature from Greek mythology with the upper body of a human and the lower body and legs of a horse. An unnamed centaur appeared in the October 29, 1983 installment of The Muppets comic strip applying for a job with Kermit the Frog to be a writer for the show. Kermit clarifies the job listing — they're looking for a satire writer, not a centaur writer.
