Chance and Chemistry: A Centennial Celebration of Frank Loesser is a benefit gala concert held by the Actor's Fund on October 26, 2009 at the Minskoff Theater.[1] The concert paid tribute to the many musical works of composer Frank Loesser. The event was hosted by Annette Bening, Kevin McCollum and Jonathan Tisch.
Cookie Monster, Grover, and Abby Cadabby were among the performers, singing "The Inch Worm" with Phyllis Newman and John McMartin, and joking that Cookie Monster ate all of Paul McCartney's cookies backstage. McCartney, also performing in the show, interacted with the Muppets and their performers backstage after the number.[2][3]
Additional performers included Brian Stokes Mitchell, John Stamos, and Tom Kitt.
