Characters wearing ties with collars that have no shirt attached, or just the tie itself adorning the neck. The sartorial tradition began in comic strips and animated cartoons (e.g. Yogi Bear and supporting characters in Pogo) and has been proudly carried on by Muppets. Since tracking every time a specific character wears a tie is repetitive, only a single representative, best quality image is used, and not every instance is necessarily noted in text. Nameless characters without pages and crowd extras are also usually omitted.
