Charlie is a young Anything Muppet who appeared on Sesame Street primarily during the early 1970s.
In one segment from season two, he is lost and must find a police officer to help him get home. Luckily, he encounters a police officer who turns out to be his Uncle Louie. Louie explains that it's really him under his uniform.
Generally cast in sketches as a nondescript little boy, Charlie's puppeteer varied from segment to segment, with his performers including Frank Oz (including in the "Lost Kid" segment), Jim Henson, Caroll Spinney, Jerry Nelson, and Richard Hunt. The puppet's utility function was not unlike that of a similar Hot Pink Anything Muppet, Joanie Jenkins, who also shared the same shirt.
