Charlie, short for Charlotte, is a young girl introduced during season 50 of Sesame Street.

She and her family move to the street in Episode 5013 after her parents, Mary and Victor, retire from the military.

Charlie can be seen in certain audience shots for The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo, as well as an onstage appearance in episode 105 to play a game of tic-tac-toe.

Charlie's mother is played by Jennifer Barnhart. The performer had previously appeared as the mother of Tinnirello's background character in The Magical Wand Chase.

According to a series of holiday web videos following The Power of We special, Charlie celebrates Hanukkah, indicating that her family is Jewish, which is confirmed in Episode 5425.
