Trivia

  • On the day Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Jerry Juhl and Don Sahlin created their now famous Muppet Pipes at NBC, several people in the studio caught wind of what the men were doing in their dressing room. Jerry Juhl recalls, "At some point, late in the afternoon, there was a knock on the door and a voice outside said, 'Hello, I'm Charlton Heston. Could I see your closet?' Since practical jokes weren't unknown in our world, we yelled back, 'Yeah, sure, you're Charlton Heston.' And, of course, it was Charlton Heston."[1]
