Christopher Lyall has worked as a dancer in ballet and choreographed the "Real Live Girl" number in The Muppets Valentine Show. His Muppet involvement was the result of his being the life partner of Kermit Love. He received credit on The Muppet Show: Sex and Violence for costume making and on Follow That Bird for additional Muppet design and construction. Lyall later recalled assisting Love in the construction of the earliest Big Bird, supplying the supporting structure.[1] Lyall also partook in the construction of the full-bodied costumes of Sesame Street characters for the Ice Follies shows and sketches.[2]
Lyall is a New Zealand native. He met Love in London[1] where the former had been performing in a TV version of The Nutcracker and with the Ballet Rambert in Giselle and other pieces. In the 1960s, he performed multiple times at the Jacob's Pillow dance festival in Massachusetts.
