Clancy is a dark green Anything Monster with a pink pear-shaped nose and a furry black unibrow. He made several background appearances on Sesame Street from around 1979 to 1989. In his later appearances beyond the early 80's, he sports different sets of eyes. In the sketch Hill Street Twos, he's referred to as โOfficer Clancy.โ
Clancy was also featured with the Sesame Street cast in A Muppet Family Christmas, where he played a reindeer in the Sesame Street Christmas pageant. He can also be seen in Sesame Street: 20 and Still Counting with a chorus of other monsters accompanying Ray Charles in his rendition of Bein' Green.
