Clive Thompson (b. 1935) is a dancer and choreographer. He appeared on Sesame Street several times in Season 7, beginning with an insert moving and demonstrating body parts while the voices of kids identify them. (First: Episode 0812) He also appeared in three inserts with Tina Yuan, performing a Juba dance (Episode 0845), a blues number (First: Episode 0851), and a dance interval (Episode 0087).
Born in Jamaica but later relocating to New York City, Thompson danced with the Martha Graham Company for multiple seasons in the 60s, including on Broadway in presentations of Phaedra, Cortege of Eagles (as Paris), and Acrobats of God. He also performed with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. As a choreographer, he led his own group, the Clive Thompson Dance Company, before later returning to Jamaica.
