Clive Thompson (b. 1935) is a dancer and choreographer. He appeared on Sesame Street in an insert (First: Episode 0812), around 1975, moving and demonstrating body parts while the voices of kids identify them. He also appeared in another sketch doing a Juba dance with Tina Yuan. (First: Episode 0845)
Born in Jamaica but later relocating to New York City, Thompson danced with the Martha Graham Company for multiple seasons in the 60s, including on Broadway in presentations of Phaedra, Cortege of Eagles (as Paris), and Acrobats of God. He also performed with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. As a choreographer, he led his own group, the Clive Thompson Dance Company, before later returning to Jamaica.
