Colartas are an enslaved race of bipedal, reptilian-like aliens who appear in the third season of Farscape.
Colartas are often hired as mercenaries and trackers due to their acute sense of smell and their capability to detect heat signatures. They use their earnings from these jobs to buy their freedom. Colartas also have multiple hearts and can shape-shift into other beings.
In "Thanks for Sharing," a Colarta is hired by Xhalax Sun to prevent Moya and Talyn from procuring chromextin. It orchestrates the attack on John Crichton and Sarova and subsequently assumes the identity of the latter. As Sarova, the Colarta kills Pralanoth and Bloy.
Three Colartas (namely Thek, Vek, and Kek) appear in the episode "Relativity." Once again under the employment of Xhalax Sun, the three are used to track the Moya and Talyn crews through the dense jungle planet.
