The Muppets performed this #1 Beatles single from 1969 in an appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show on April 12, 1970. A Muppet band, which Jim Henson loosely caricatured after the fab four, lip-synced to the original Beatles version (with the first two verses swapped) while Flattop, a giant blue and green dancing cowboy, slowly fell apart.
A brief clip is used as part of the opening montage in the documentary Jim Henson: Idea Man.
