On November 1st, 2006, during a non-televised ceremony hosted by Kathleen Turner at the United Nations in New York City, Search for Common Ground presented Gary Knell and Sesame Workshop with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Present for a demonstration of what it means for people to find common ground, Grover assisted Knell on stage, lending his expertise as Global Grover on the subject.
