Computer is one of Elmo's living crayon drawing furnishings in the original "Elmo's World" segments on Sesame Street. Debuting in the Season 32 installment "Computers," it replaced the "Elmocam" portion of the segment that season.
Computer bouncily attempts to present Elmo with his e-mail video messages, often leading him on a chase around his room. Initially uttering a generic "You've got mail" (referencing the famous AOL soundbite), the computer chants an energetic "Elmo has mail!" in later episodes. It features a fluttering, winged mail icon on its screen, and is accompanied by an equally active mouse.
Though typically performed by Jim Martin, Martin P. Robinson voiced the character in the episode "Firefighters."
