Cookie Monster's Bake Sale is a 22-minute Sesame Street special, released on Max on August 10, 2023, and aired on the Discovery Family channel, followed by Oscar's Handmade Halloween, on October 22. The special stars Cookie Monster and celebrity chef Eddie Jackson, in which the pair hosts a food competition with a local track team while preparing a bake sale to raise money for their uniforms. Abby Cadabby appears as a guest judge, and other Muppet characters (including Telly Monster, Bert, Gabrielle, and Felix) assist at the bake sale.
The special was originally going to premiere at San Diego Comic-Con on July 23 during a panel with producer Andrew Moriarty, Elmo, and Cookie Monster.[1]
The production is the first of three reality-based Sesame Street specials premiering on Max in 2023, followed by Oscar's Handmade Halloween and Elmo and Tango Holiday Helpers.[2] A sequel special debuted in August 2024.
