Cookie Monster wants to go to school to learn to read, but he can't tell which of three buildings is the school. An Anything Muppet (Caroll Spinney) tells him to read the sign on one building, causing the monster to tear it off and bring back to him. Cookie reads the letters on the sign to the AM and learns they spell "SCHOOL." But now he still can't find the school as he forgot which building had the sign.
