Monsters, including an early Grover, Flute-Snatcher, Cookie Monster, Beautiful Day Monster, and Scudge, are looking at something. Fred's son appears, and is reprimanded with "Eyy!" After a few times, Fred's son turns toward the viewer and yells "A!", revealing that the group is staring at the letter A.

Episode 0089 Monsters Whisper "C"

Monsters, including an early Grover, Cookie Monster, and Beautiful Day Monster, pass on the message, "See." The wide shot reveals that the monsters were whispering about the Letter C. Caroll Spinney performs Cookie Monster in this sketch.

Fred's son wants to learn about here and there, so the Beautiful Day Monster and Cookie Monster show him by spreading apart, each calling Fred's son over to their side. However, whenever Baby gets to "there," he always finds himself "here."

Episode 0117 Cookie Bookie

After watching a film of a boy counting eleven eggs and one cookie (ending with the cookie being eaten), Cookie Monster demands a cookie. A mysterious talking hook appears from the sky, and responds by giving him a book instead. Cookie is surprised, "This not cookie...this BOOKIE!" He then exchanges the book for lots of cookies, which rain on him.

Episode 0131 What's My Part?: Nose

Cookie Monster is a contestant on Guy Smiley's game show "What's My Part?", along with nose-less monsters Bennett Snerf and Arlene Frantic. They are blindfolded and have to guess who today's guest, a nose, is. However, since none of them actually have noses, they have trouble guessing.

Episode 0132 Cookie Puzzle

Herbert Birdsfoot invents a complicated machine, to test Cookie Monster's problem-solving abilities. Cookie Monster needs to pull the string to raise the glass cover off the plateful of cookies at the other end -- but when he lets go to retrieve the cookies, the cover will fall again. Herbert hears Cookie Monster approaching, and hides to observe him. Cookie investigates the machine for a moment, then gets the cookies by karate-chopping the glass cover.

Episode 0135 Turning into a Prince

A fairy godmother turns Cookie Monster into a handsome prince. He thinks it's ugly, and uses the wand to change her into her original form, Herry Monster wearing a wig. As monsters, they fall in love.

Herry and Cookie Monster practice their "monster noises" (growling and roaring), then have the viewer play a game of imitating animal noises with them.

Episode 0142 Missing Cookies

Someone has eaten Ernie's cookies. Sherlock Hemlock investigates the case. He is asking Ernie questions about the cookies, when Cookie Monster comes by with cookie crumbs on his fur. Sherlock interrogate Cookie Monster, and he comes to the conclusion that Cookie Monster is the thief. Cookie Monster admits it, saying that he is full now and gives Ernie the last cookie, however Sherlock ends up taking it as payment.

Episode 0143 Looking for Squares

An Anything Muppet man holds up pictures and asks the viewer to find a square in each of them. Cookie Monster soon joins him when the man shows a picture of a cookie box, which Cookie Monster believes has cookies in it.

Episode 0145 Cookie Coat

Cookie Monster gets mistaken for a blue and furry coat.

Episode 0148 Full/Empty Room

An Anything Muppet demonstrates empty by leaving his room. Soon, Grover and his friends including Cookie Monster occupy the room making it full. The Anything Muppet comes in and scares the monsters away leaving it empty.

Episode 0152 The Princess and the Cookie

Bob reads the story of "The Princess and the Cookie". In the story, a king is looking for someone to marry his daughter, the small princess Eunice. He is having trouble, because all the princes in the kingdom keep bringing her cookies that are too big for her. Finally, the baker (Cookie Monster) enters with the smallest cookie in the kingdom, which the princess immediately wants. The baker is disinterested in marrying the princess, until the prince offers him the other three cookies that the princes brought. And they lived happily ever after

Gordon and Cookie Monster see a big pile of cookies. Cookie asks for one cookie, and saves it for later because he does not want to ruin his supper (which will be cookies). Then he wants another, because one cookie makes him a little happy, but two would make him happier. As Gordon puts cookies in Cookie's bag and then takes them away, Cookie becomes more happy with more cookies and less happy with less cookies. When Cookie has all the cookies in his bag, he is very happy, but decides there is a better place to put the cookies than the bag ... his tummy.

Episode 0156 Sandwich

Cookie Monster asks a girl the instructions of creating an egg sandwich; which is by combining - slices of bread, butter, a hard boiled egg, and salt together. Cookie literally follows the instructions by placing the ingredients in his mouth, much to the chagrin of the girl.

Little Bird demonstrates next to by standing near a radiator, window, and a friend. Cookie Monster inadvertently scares the boy, leaving him cuddling Little Bird.

Episode 0175 Heavy and Light

An Anything Muppet man uses feathers and rocks to teach the difference between heavy and light. During the lecture, Cookie Monster comes along, mistakes the rocks for cookies, and eats them all. The rocks weigh Cookie down, so the monster proceeds to eat the feathers to "balance it out."

Episode 0184 Cookie Monster Goes to School

Cookie Monster wants to go to school, but he can't tell which building the school is because he can't read. An Anything Muppet (voiced by Caroll Spinney) tells him to read the letters on the sign on one of the buildings. Cookie tears the sign off the building, but once he's read the sign, he still doesn't know which building the school is.

Episode 0192 Bus Stop

Cookie Monster explains the purpose of the Bus Stop sign, however the bus zooms pasts him. Resulting in Cookie Monster ripping the part of the sign mentioning STOP.

Episode 0194 Telephone

An Anything Muppet boy gives a brief lecture on the telephone, which Cookie Monster then eats. Soon after, it begins ringing inside his stomach. In the post-roll, he lifts "his belly" to look inside.

Herry Monster has just learned how to spell the word telephone. Cookie Monster comes running in with a frantic need for a telephone. Herry shows him the word, but Cookie wants a real one. Herry gives him one, and Cookie eats it.

Cookie Monster finds an exit sign, and pantomimes entering an exit.

Episode 0223 Who are you?

Bob tries to sneak a bag of cookies home, without getting noticed by Cookie Monster, he encounters Sherlock Hemlock who has not seen Bob before and tries to figure out who he is. He comes to the conclusion that he have to be Cookie Monster, due to the cookies in the bag. The Cookie Monster comes and eats the cookies from the back, so Sherlock sees that Bob can't be Cookie Monster. Bob then introduces himself, and Sherlock asks if he has another cookie he can have, as Bob finds another cookie Cookie Monster comes and takes it.

Episode 0252 Reciting a Cookie Poem

Howie, a rabbit, gets Cookie Monster to recite a poem about cookies.

Episode 0253 The Smallest Person Gets the Cookie

Two Anything Muppet kids argue over a cookie. Cookie Monster arrives and says that the smallest person should get the cookie, and then, as the kids argue over which one is smaller, Cookie Monster shrinks himself.

Episode 0276 The Great Cookie Thief

Four Anything Muppet cowboys put up a Wanted poster for "the Great Cookie Thief", who's been stealing cookies from all the bakeries in these here parts. Cookie Monster is standing in front of the poster, and the others suspect that he's the Great Cookie Thief -- he has the same googly eyes, the same blue fur, and the same Western hat. They confront Cookie Monster, but he denies the charge: "Not have same mustache!" He shouts, "Look over there!" -- and while they're distracted, he draws a mustache on the poster. They apologize -- but then Cookie Monster takes off his hat, and cookies fall out. The Great Cookie Thief makes his escape.

Episode 0277 R! S! M!

Two monsters stand on either side of a large plate of cookies. Herry Monster has an "R" on his sweatshirt and growls menacingly, "Rrrrrrrr". A fat blue monster has an "S" on his sweatshirt and hisses ominously, "Sssssssss". While they argue in this way, Cookie Monster (wearing an "M" on his sweatshirt) comes along, eats the cookies, rubs his tummy and says, "Mmmmmmmmmm".

Episode 0283 Cookie Monster at the Bakery: Birthday Cookie

Cookie Monster goes to the bakery for a special birthday cookie. The baker lists all the ingredients of the cookie, as Cookie visualizes it. The visualized image looks so delicious that he eats it.

Grover has a box that can make the sound "ding-ding." However, Grover can't make it to sound right so he attempts to fix it. When it's fixed and says "ding-ding" Cookie Monster comes because he thought he heard the dinner bell ring.

The Amazing Mumford waves his magic wand over a transparent glass cookie jar and makes the jar become full of cookies and then empty (over and over) as an anxious Cookie Monster watches.

Cookie Monster and Bill Smith are contestants on The Remembering Game, hosted by Guy Smiley. Cookie wins and his prize is a jet plane. But he'd rather have Bill's consolation prize, a cookie. Which is just as well because Bill would rather have the plane. So they trade.

Episode 0412 The Boy Who Cried Monster

Cookie Monster stars in the story of "The Boy Who Cried Monster", read by Maria. In it he plays a monster who is constantly stealing cookies from the local villagers. One young boy can't resist tricking his neighbors by shouting "monster!" when there isn't one, but when the monster finally does appear, no one believes him. As a result, the boy loses his cookies to the monster.

Episode 0449 Cookie Monster Rings the Bell

Cookie Monster goes to the carnival and plays the "test your strength" game. Unbeknownst to him, the carnival barker is a dishonest man who rigged the game so nobody could win -- until Cookie finds out what the prize is.

Cookie Monster comes to the bakery looking for something delicious that rhymes with BUY. He tries the I (from the MIKE'S BAKERY sign) and the baker's TIE, both of which aren't that delicious. Finally, Guy Smiley comes in and loudly announces that he would like to BUY a PIE. Cookie then knows what he can get in the bakery that rhymes with BUY and is delicious: it's GUY! A chase ensues, and Cookie requests for the baker to send him the bill.

In order to win a cookie, Cookie Monster must bring three items that rhyme with the word "rain" before the hand goes around the clock. They turn out to be an old man's "cane", a "chain" (to which Frazzle is attached), and finally a "train" which destroys the set.

Cookie Monster finds two cards reading, "coo" and "kie." He puts them together to make the word "cookie," then eats the word.

Episode 0514 Cookie Monster Meets the Count

The Count and Cookie Monster see a plate of cookies. The Count wants to count them, and Cookie Monster wants to eat them. After arguing over whether the cookies are for counting or eating, they decide to share them -- the Count will count the cookies, and then Cookie Monster will eat them.

Taking his first stab at dressing in drag, Cookie plays Princess Emily, whose father gives her all the pink balls that used to be stuck on everyone's noses. She is delighted and devours all the balls before her father can suggest an alternative.

While watching the Fix-It Shop, Cookie Monster talks to the audience about telephones, first by showing the word on-screen, and then by using it. When Maria and Luis come back, Cookie Monster tells them that he was talking about telephones, and asks if it's good. They say it's okay, and proceed to eat the phone's receiver!

Cookie Monster is about to eat a cookie when a sad-looking girl approaches and stares at him. He tries to eat the cookie, but can't do it. He breaks the cookie in half and shares the cookie with the girl. He eats his half of the cookie. When the girl eats her half, she eats it just like Cookie Monster.

Episode 0634 The Monster's Three Wishes

Bob tells the story of "The Monster's Three Wishes." One day, Cookie Monster is brushing his teeth, and discovers the Genie of the Toothpaste, who grants Cookie Monster three wishes. Of course, Cookie Monster wants a million cookies, but first, he needs a truck to carry them all in. The Genie gives Cookie Monster a tiny little toy truck, which is nowhere near big enough to carry all the cookies. Cookie Monster says that he wants a bigger truck, so he's given a slightly larger toy truck. Cookie Monster explains that he wants the biggest truck of all, and the Genie finally gives him a full-size truck. Cookie is delighted, and wishes for his million cookies -- but the Genie explains that he's used up all three of his wishes. Undaunted, Cookie Monster eats the truck.

Episode 0748 The Magic Cookie Touch

After watching the King Minus cartoon, Cookie Monster tells Big Bird how great it would be if everything he touched turned into cookies. He imagines a scenario where he holds this power, but he panics when he turns Susan and Bob into a pile of cookies. Big Bird and David rouse him back to reality where he begins to realize his imagination had run away with him... until Susan presents him with a plate of cookies where Big Bird had been standing.

Cookie Monster appears in this episode of Alphabet Chat while Lord Chatterly tries to recite a poem on the letter, "L".

At a library, Cookie Monster asks an Anything Muppet librarian for a box of cookies. The librarian becomes extremely frustrated because Cookie Monster doesn't understand the library doesn't have cookies!

Cookie Monster tells his little cousin monster to get him something special that starts with the letter C. Cookie Monster goes on a picnic, with a basket full of cookies. A bug flies by and tries to get into the basket, buzzing furiously. Cookie Monster tries to give the bug a little cookie if it'll go away. The bug refuses, buzzing even more strenuously. Cookie tries a big cookie, but it still refuses. Cookie offers an almond cookie, a raisin cookie, a pistachio nut cookie, and a crunchy granola cookie. He realizes that the little bug doesn't like cookies. All he has left is a letter Z. The bug is excited and buzzes off with the Z.

Cookie Monster says he likes both, better than going to Cucamonga for the National Cookie Convention. 2-Head gets inspired, and heads off for Cucamonga, leaving Cookie to choose between the mountains and the seashore.

Cookie Monster appears in the "Bo Knows" commercial parody, reminding the viewers that "Bo knows cookies," before eating a cookie himself.

Episode 3005 The Monster Cookie

After finishing the last of his party cookies, Cookie Monster takes a nap and dreams of meeting "The Monster Cookie", who used to be a fuzzy monster also, but his cookie-only diet caused him to turn into a cookie and regrets not eating healthier foods. Cookie wakes up from his dream and eats some healthier treats, with a cookie afterward.

Episode 3253 Fast and Slow

Telly Monster demonstrates "Fast" and "Slow" to Cookie Monster by using a plate of cookies. To demonstrate slow, Telly eats one of the cookies in slow bites. After finishing eating, he asks Cookie Monster to eat a cookie slowly. Cookie Monster gives it a try, but ends up gobbling all the cookies on the plate. Telly considers it to be fast rather than slow, but Cookie Monster says it was slow in his opinion.

Susan Sarandon visits the street to see Cookie Monster and to learn to eat cookies like him. She provides a large cookie for him to demonstrate on, but advises him to break it in half so they both can have it. After her lesson, Cookie eats the plate.

Episode 3507 Shell Game

Cookie Monster plays a shell game at a carnival, and the prize is a cookie. A cookie is placed under one of three shells, and the carnival barker rearranges them, and has Cookie Monster guess which one it's under. After failing to guess correctly, the carnival barker lets Cookie Monster try it again, this time using only two shells, and Cookie Monster fails to win again. Since Cookie Monster can't have the cookie, he eats the shells. The barker then gives Cookie Monster the cookie.

Episode 3528 Unexpected

Cookie Monster does something unexpected by not eating a plate of cookies. Once the audience understands surprise, he then reverts to normal form and eats the cookies.

Episode 3593 Inside and Outside

Cookie Monster and Zoe demonstrate "inside" and "outside"; Cookie takes a cookie outside of the box, and inside his mouth and tummy.

Herry Monster and Cookie compete in "The Sesame Street Open" where they open various things like books or lunchboxes. Cookie Monster wins and eats his trophy.

Gladys Ormphby is approached by Cookie Monster, who begs for cookies. Gladys sharply insists that she has zero cookies, so Cookie Monster eats her pocket book instead, then hungers after her sweater and hairnet.

Episode 3746 Cookie Painting

Cookie Monster paints a cookie so that he can compare for the audience how true the likeness is to the real thing. After he shows how he even got every little macaroon, he eats both the cookie and the painting, and eventually eats his palette.

Episode 3766 Cookie Monster's Experiment

Dressed in a labcoat, Cookie Monster asks the important question: Do cookies taste good? He finds out by planning, as his assistant, a Bill Nye-esque Anything Muppet, presents him with the cookies. He further tries out his idea by eating each cookie, and telling the viewer his results.

Episode 3950 Zero

Cookie Monster plans on eating a number of cookies corresponding with the number of the day. However, much to his chagrin, the number of the day is 0, so he is able to eat zero cookies. He decides to eat number zeros instead.

Episode 4097 Who is Alive?

Cookie Monster tries to figure out who is alive: a rock or himself? After testing to see if the rock can grow, breath air, and eat cookies, he concludes that it is not alive because it didn't move or do anything during the test. Afterwards, Cookie Monster feels hungry and decides to eat it.

Episode 4115 Matt Lauer Interviews Cookie

Matt Lauer interviews Cookie Monster and inquires why he has stopped eating cookies. He maintains that while he does like fruit, he still likes cookies as well.

Amy Sedaris tries to talk about apples, but is interrupted by Cookie.

Episode 4138 Meal or No Meal

Cookie Monster is the baker on the game show Meal or No Meal. Three times he calls up the contestant to offer her cookies if she will give up what is under her selected dish. All three times, she politely declines. Finally, upon hearing that there are one hundred cookies under one of the dishes, he bursts out from behind his sound proof screen and eats all the cookies, followed by the game show button and host Howie Eatswell's cell phone.

Episode 4416 Checkers

Cookie joins Abby Cadabby in a game of checkers, but he keeps eating the pieces because their shape reminds him of snacks.

Episode 4419 Letter H Cookie

Oscar messes with Cookie Monster by hanging an H cookie from a rope, high out of his reach, and the only way to get it is with H words. Hopping and a hook fail, but Cookie gets another idea - he gets some happy horses who hum in harmony to annoy Oscar enough to drop it.

Episode 4422 Subtraction

Abby shows subtraction with cookies, much to Cookie Monster's dismay. He saves the remaining cookies from her magical spell by subtracting them eating them.

Away from the Cookie

Cookie Monster places a cookie on a plate and then goes away from it. After he has put some distance between himself and the cookie he tells that the cookie is over there and he is here and that's away from the cookie. However he can't stand it to be so far away from the cookie so he rushes over to it and eats it, and says he don't want to be away from the cookie.

Cookie Monster comes in very hungry just when he notices Big Bird's painting of a cookie. As he tries to eat Big Bird's painting, Big Bird stops him from doing so, mentioning how he's proud of the painting and wants to keep it. In order to prevent poor and hungry Cookie Monster from eating it, he suggests Cookie to eat the cookie that he has painted from. As excited as he is to see the cookie, Cookie Monster gobbles up the cookie (and even the table).

"NO" Sign

Zoe sees Cookie Monster next to a plate of cookies, holding a sign that says "NO" since he "no eat cookies". Zoe asks if he's serious, to which Cookie replies "NO!" and devours the cookies.


Cookie Monster talks about mouths and what they can do. Mouths can say "Hello", sing and his favorite thing - eating cookies.

Ernie, Telly, Rosita, the Count, and Cookie Monster show the things that make them happy.

Which Toy is the Best?

Elmo and Zoe find two toys (a car and a plane) sitting on a wall in the park. They start playing with them and argue over which one is the best. Cookie Monster wanders by settles their argument by saying that friends can prefer different things. They then asks which one Cookie prefers and he does a taste test to find out.

Sharing Cookies

Cookie Monster has a plate of cookies when Zoe walks by. He offers to share them with her until he learns she doesn't like cookies. He thinks they can't be friends, but she points out they don't have to like the same things to be friends. He happily devours the cookies and makes sure she doesn't like to eat plates as well before he eats that also.

Dr. Ruster hosts a show where contestant Cookie describes his healthy breakfast. Cookie's breakfast, however, consists of cookies. Dr. Ruster and surprise guest Vanna Banana show him some more healthier options.
