Cookie and the Green-Eyed Monster is a 1992 Sesame Street storybook featuring Cookie Monster. The book was published in the UK by Fantail Publishing, an imprint of Penguin Books.
Cookie Monster enters a contest to win the biggest pile of cookies in the world. To win, your name must be picked at random out of a hat by the baker of the cookies. To his dismay, Cookie's name is not selected, but rather Ruby Monster wins the prize.
She carts her wares off in a wheelbarrow, leaving Cookie sad and jealous. He's unable to focus on anything else and pictures everything he sees as cookies. Unable to cope, he sets out to find where Ruby lives and claim the cookies for his own. After following a trail of cookies to her front door, Ruby invites Cookie Monster in and begs him to help her eat the pile of cookies.
