Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy appeared during the event, interacting with the concert's host, Hugh Bonneville. In the segment, Miss Piggy mistook Bonneville for a lord, referencing his role as Robert Crawley, The Earl of Grantham on the television series Downton Abbey. Bonneville noted that he only played a lord on television, adding, "give me a bear with a marmalade habit anytime." Unconvinced, Piggy attempted to romance Bonneville, hoping to marry him and earn the title of Lady.
Kermit was seen later enjoying the concert in the Royal Box. Warrick Brownlow-Pike and Louise Gold served as assistant performers for the appearance.[1]
Musical acts that performed at the concert included Olly Murs, Lang Lang, Andrea Bocelli, Lionel Richie, and Katy Perry. The televised version also included prerecorded appearances by Tom Cruise, Joan Collins, Winnie the Pooh, Tom Jones, Hugh Jackman, and Pierce Brosnan.
