"Count Me In" is a Sesame Street song about accepting different types of people, no matter what race, gender, where they've been, or how they look.
A remake of the song debuted in Season 43 performed by Deon Mitchell, a former member of the PS22 chorus.[1] This version was produced by NELA Films, as directed by Adam Bluming. (First: Episode 4305)
Meghan Trainor performed the song with Elmo and Abby Cadabby in Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration. The song was later performed at the 2021 Annual Sesame Workshop Benefit Gala by Jimmy Fallon, the Roots, and the Sesame Street Muppets (including Elmo, Abby, Rosita, Grover, Tamir, Wes, Gabrielle, and Big Bird).
