"Count on Me" is sung by Count von Count and Loretta Lynn (together again for the very first time). The song was performed on the 1981 album Sesame Country, and later in a Sesame Street insert.

The Sesame Street Unpaved book says that Count von Count's favorite songs are "Born to Add" and "Count on Me."

The song was later used in Let's Be Friends as sung by Big Bird and Snuffy.

Notes

• The televised version features an altered backing track but reuses Jerry Nelson's vocals from the album recording. Richard Hunt (assisted by Pam Arciero) puppeteered the Count, as Nelson was out sick.

• The televised version was directed by Jon Stone and was taped on November 7, 1984.
