"Counting Forwards and Backwards" is a Sesame Street song performed by Renée Fleming to the tune of "Caro nome" from the opera Rigoletto.
Fleming sings about counting to 5 (and back) with the help of singing numbers, accordion-playing sheep, pigs and some bananas.
A rewritten version of the song was used in the Sesame Street Live show, Can't Stop Singing.
