"Curly Bear’s birth" is a Sesame Street story arc that took place over several episodes in Season 34 (2003).
The birth of Curly Bear added a fourth character to Sesame Street’s version of "The Three Bears" fairytale. After years of having established himself as a major player on the series, Baby Bear takes center stage in this story which delivers him a sister from his Mama Bear and Papa Bear.
The three-episode arc is followed-up with Episode 4066 in which Baby Bear and his best friend Telly Monster rewrite the bears' well-known fable.
The Street scenes from all three episodes were supplemented by additional on-theme segments and released on home video as Three Bears and a New Baby five months after their initial television broadcast.
