Damian Farrell is an Irish puppeteer and animator who has worked as an additional puppeteer on several Muppet and Creature Shop productions. Notably, he puppeteered SkekGra and performed Lore and others on the Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, and was interviewed in The Crystal Calls: Making the Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
Farrell worked as an animator in the 1990s, including a stint with Don Bluth on The Pebble and the Penguin and Thumbelina (as an inbetweener and doing rough breakdowns). Shifting to puppetry, Farrell built and performed characters voiced by impressionist Mario Rosenstock on Special 1 TV and worked on children's series such as Captain Abercromby. He was a creature and droid puppeteer on all of the Disney-produced Star Wars feature films (and was an assistant puppeteer for Yoda on The Last Jedi). In Solo, he donned a Stormtrooper suit as the Mimban guard.
Still sometimes working in animation or design, Farrell's studio Caboom has done commercial work and designed the opening titles for The Inspector George Gently Mysteries.
