"Danger" is sung by Little Jerry and the Monotones on Sesame Street. During the number, as Little Jerry warns about avoiding danger, the band is surrounded by explosions, falling buildings and racing cars. At the end, they are uninjured, but somewhat shaken by the experience.
Another version for the Signs! album was performed by Prairie Dawn and the Orlandos (whose name is a reference to the 1970s pop music group Tony Orlando and Dawn).
Notes[]
- Two takes of this segment were filmed, with its initial airing being the only episode to air an alternate version of the segment. Subsequent airings all feature the same take with more intense reactions from the Monotones suffering the danger around them and Little Jerry fainting in the end.
- As Jeff Moss had left the previous season, Jerry Nelson voices Big Jeffie in this song.
- The song is heard playing on a radio in Episode 1728.
- This was one of the first two songs Christopher Cerf and Norman Stiles collaborated on for Sesame Street, the other being "Exit."[1] Both were produced for season 6.
