Danilo De Girolamo (1956-2012) was an Italian voice actor and dubbing director. He dubbed Bear and Treelo on Bear Nella Grande Casa Blu, the Italian dub of Bear in the Big Blue House, and was also one of the dialogue adaptors/translators. He was dubbing director for Il Muppet e il Mago di Oz (The Muppets' Wizard of Oz) and redubbed John Cleese for the 2008 Italian DVD release of The Muppet Show: Season Two. He also dubbed Baby Gonzo in Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue.
De Girolamo was the Italian voice of David Thewlis in the Harry Potter movies. He frequently dubbed Alan Cumming (including The Good Wife, GoldenEye and the Spy Kids movies) and Jack Davenport (The Talented Mr. Ripley and the Pirates of the Caribbean movies). He also dubbed Adam Sandler in The Wedding Singer and Waterboy, Matthew Modine in Any Given Sunday and Shortcuts, Ray Liotta in Phoenix, Kenneth Branagh in Love's Labour's Lost, Brent Spiner in Independence Day, Alan Tudyk in the Frank Oz directed Death at a Funeral, Jonathan Pryce in Carrington, Phil Hartman in Jingle All the Way, and Angus Barnett in Finding Neverland. TV dubs included Giancarlo Esposito on Breaking Bad, Tony Shalhoub on Wings, and Andy Hallett on Angel.
In animation, De Girolamo dubbed Crane in the Kung Fu Panda movies and TV series, Wallace in Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Wererabbit, Roy Rooster on Garfield and Friends, Dr. Doppler in Treasure Planet, Hexxus in FernGully: The Last Rainforest, and Cyril Proudbottom in The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. For the international versions of Cars, De Girolamo dubbed the Italian-speaking Guido (except, notably, in Italy itself).
