Danvers Blickensderfer is the protagonist and narrator of the Tales of a Sixth-Grade Muppet book series.
He has a pet rat named Curtis and a little sister named Chloe (with whom he shares a bunk bed). His all-time idol and hero is Gonzo. Danvers loves to perform ridiculous stunts and escape tricks with the help of his reluctant assistant and best friend Pasquale.
One night before falling asleep, Danvers wishes he were like Gonzo. Awakened by a bright green flash in the middle of the night, he discovers the next morning that he's been turned into a Muppet. Thanks to the help of his sister, he gets his dream job at the Muppet Theater.
With the Muppets, he serves as Gonzo's assistant and becomes lead singer of the boy band Mon Swoon. At the end of The Good, the Bad, and the Fuzzy, Danvers decides to transfer from Coldrain Middle School to Eagle Talon Academy.
Danvers' Muppetmorphosis begins to have disastrous consequences, however, as his reality collides with the Muppet world. In When Pigs Fly, Danvers joins the Swintrek crew to stop the chaos and uncover the truth behind his transformation.
