David Skelly has designed and built for Jim Henson Company and Sesame Street, and performed puppets in some Muppet projects.
Skelly designed and built puppets for Sesame Street, Dinosaurs (including fit-modeling for Fran Sinclair), The Animal Show (including Johnny the Wolf), and The Muppet Christmas Carol. He has been trained in puppeteering by Jane Henson, Brian Henson, and Kevin Clash, and has participated in puppet improv workshops at Jim Henson Company with Patrick Bristow. He has performed in The Muppets and Lady Gaga & the Muppets' Holiday Spectacular.
As a writer, Skelly co-wrote a cancelled Laika feature film, several episodes of Nickelodeon's Zevo-3, and a one-shot Batman comic script for DC Comics. He worked for eight years in Pixar's story development department, including the reimagining of Toy Story 2, to take it from direct-to-video to theatrical release, while it was already well into production.
Skelly is a series director for The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange series (Cartoon Network), overseeing appearances by celebrities including "Weird Al" Yankovic and Alice Cooper.
