Over the years on Sesame Street, a local day care center has been featured. As early as season 10, a day care center was introduced not far from the street, where the Sesame Street adults often volunteered. This locale was first introduced in Episode 1210 and was seen through season 14. A redesigned day care center was later seen in Episode 2294 and 2463.
In season 21, a new day care center began operation under the ownership of the matronly Lillian, who ran the center out of her apartment. Gabi was a frequent member of the center, along with Irvine and Baby Natasha.
When season 25 took viewers Around the Corner, Lillian left the show and a new home care service began under Angela in her and Jamal's apartment (located at 456 Sesame Street).
Two years later, Angela and her family likewise moved, and Gina began her own day care service. The center, operating in a previously empty space in the same building, was branded as "Gina's Family Day Care." The last appearance of the center was in The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, when "Around the Corner" was dropped from the show.
