Over the years on Sesame Street, a local day care center has been featured. As early as season ten, a day care center was located not far from the street, where the Sesame Street adults often volunteered.
In season 21, a new day center began operation under the ownership of the matronly Lillian, who ran the center out of her apartment. Gabi was a frequent member of the center, along with Irvine and Natasha.
Two years later, Angela and her family likewise moved, and Gina, already a comforting presence for the kids on Sesame Street, began her own day care service. The center, operating in a previously empty face in the same building, was branded as "Gina's Family Day Care." The last appearance of the center was in The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, when "Around the Corner" was dropped from the show.
