JKL 2003 10 03 Dean Cain
Dean Cain (b. 1966) is an actor most well known for playing Superman in the 90s TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and for hosting Ripley’s Believe It or Not! from 2000 to 2003.
Cain made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2003 to promote his film Out of Time where he appeared opposite Denzel Washington. Audience members showed off Superman memorabilia they'd brought to the studio, including Kermit the Frog (co-hosting that week) who showed off a paper doll of his own head attached to Superman's body, which he referred to as "Super Fly".
When Cain guest co-hosted Today in 2017 with Kathie Lee Gifford, the two appear in a sketch where they get locked in their dressing room. Cain begins to open his shirt to reveal his Superman costume, but he's interrupted by Super Grover who crash lands at their feet. Super Grover tries to smash the door down, but ends up having to yell for help.
Cain's other work includes appearances on Life Goes On (with Kellie Martin), the Cosby Show spin-off A Different World, Beverly Hills, 90210, Smallville, and Supergirl.
