Dear Earth is a streaming event hosted by YouTube to celebrate Earth and what is needed to reverse climate change. The 100-minute YouTube Originals special premiered on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2PM (PT).

Kermit the Frog delivered the opening speech of the special. Later, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, backed by some Muppet flowers, gave a performance of "Mr. Blue Sky." The scenery for the song was made entirely from recycled or repurposed materials.[1]

Featuring a wide-range of climate activists, creators, and celebs: President Barack Obama, Desmond Tutu, and Sundar Pichai, celebrities, musicians and performers including Anitta, Billie Eilish, BLACKPINK, Jaden Smith, Lil Dicky + GaTa, Marsai Martin, The Muppets, Tinashe, and SpongeBob SquarePants, as well as YouTube creators AsapSCIENCE, Brave Wilderness, Bretman Rock, Dream, Jack Harries, Odd1sOut, PhysicsGirl and ZHC.

Celebrate Mother Earth - the only known entity to actually birth the human race - with this special YouTube Original that highlights how we should be solving climate problems. Dear Earth shows us the latest in innovation, technology, and the sustainable revolution thatโ€™s about to take place.โ€
