Deena wants to play, but Pearl is sick and aching in bed. Deena thinks Pearl can still play a game anyhow and dons a firefighter's helmet, trying to rescue Pearl, who is not in the mood. Deena then puts on a cowgirl's hat, tossing her lasso at Pearl as if she's cattle. Pearl insists that she doesn't want to be anything other than her sick self. Deena gets an idea and dons a new hat, claiming to be Pearl's father. Although she finds it silly at first, Pearl is comforted by her "daddy's" hugs and even gets a bedtime story.
