Maton Dersch is the public counselor assigned to Zhaan's case in the Farscape episode "Dream a Little Dream."
Dersch believes he can get Zhaan the minimum sentence of ten solar days for the traffic violation. However, Zhaan, frustrated because she can't stay on the planet that long, attacks Dersch. After Zhaan is charged with the murder of Wesley Kenn, he tells her that there's nothing he can do, and that she will be executed for the crime.
When Chiana pleads with him to "make something up" to get Zhaan off the hook, he tells them that if he is suspected of putting on a bad face defense, he will suffer the same punishment as Zhaan. So when they appear before the judge, and Zhaan pleads "not guilty," Dersch drops her as his client.
