Bishop Desmond Tutu (1931–2021) was a South African cleric and activist who became famous for opposing apartheid in the 1980s.
He has appeared with Kami on Takalani Sesame, the South African co-production of Sesame Street, and was honored at the Sesame Workshop Benefit Gala 2004.
