Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve is an annual television special that airs every New Year's Eve on ABC. The special broadcasts from New York City's Times Square, and prominently features coverage of its annual ball drop event, along with live and pre-recorded musical performances by popular musicians from Times Square and Hollywood, respectively.
Dick Clark hosted New Year's Rockin' Eve annually from 1974 through 2004, and hosting duties have since been taken over by Ryan Seacrest.

- 2007/2008 — The Muppets, including Kermit the Frog, Gonzo, Pepe the King Prawn, Rizzo the Rat, and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, appeared in bumpers for the 2007 New Year's Eve broadcast to help ring in 2008. The spots, along with outtakes, were briefly available on Disney Xtreme Digital.
- 2023/2024 — Cookie Monster and Grover appeared with a brief pre-recorded message, toasting to the new year with glasses of milk. [1]
