The Bookaneer Captain pillages Dick Francis's Wild Horses
Dick Francis (1920-2010) was a bestselling British mystery writer. Drawing from his background as a professional jockey (riding for the Queen Mother), he set his books against the milieu of horses and racing, from jockeys and owners to breeders and veterinarians, among others, juxtaposed with conspiracy and crime. His books were periodically adapted for other media.
